My hope for individual counseling with my clients is to provide a safe space and welcoming place to discuss difficult emotions and issues.
You will experience an entirely judgment-free space in my office to process your complicated life issues; family dynamics; and past and present traumas.
My goal in the therapy process is to walk alongside my clients as they gain a better understanding of their life and begin to create positive change and a healthy journey of discovery.
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approaches to help clients identify and overcome unhelpful thoughts and beliefs about themselves.
I would consider myself an integrative therapist as I enjoy pulling interventions from various treatment modalities to meet my client’s individual needs exactly where they are.
Counseling services for Individuals & Families. Brainspotting and Immigration Evaluations--Alice Rodriguez LPPC #10720
Brainspotting is an advanced form of psychotherapy that reaches parts of the brain not normally accessed through traditional treatments.
A brainspot represents the eye position that correlates with the part of the brain that is holding a negative memory. The negative memory is stuck in this part of the brain, this unconscious part has been keeping these negative memories affecting and interfering in our everyday lives.
Through the use of a pointer and bilateral music, I guide my clients in finding brainspots stored deep inside their brains. This treatment model helps treat trauma but can also be used to process any negative emotion a client is experiencing that is affecting their daily life.
Family therapy can be helpful when families feel like they have tried everything to solve the conflict in their home and
would like to try family counseling for another option for some family conflict resolution.
Through family therapy, I will help guide each member to find their voice and learn how to communicate their needs to others.
I also offer parent coaching; co-parenting; anger management; communication skills; and family art therapy.
In family therapy, my goal for the process is to help families create a positive, supportive, and nurturing home.
I welcome families of all cultures, religions, sexual orientations, and ethnicities.
What is an immigration psychological evaluation?
An immigration evaluation (sometimes called a ‘psychosocial assessment’ or 'mental health assessment') is a psychological assessment that is used to help immigration officials determine whether an individual will be able to remain lawfully in the United States.
Immigration evaluations are typically sought by attorneys. This is because a thorough immigration evaluation, when conducted and written up by a licensed mental health professional, can be very helpful in immigration proceedings and positively impact a client’s case.
The evaluation itself involves a meeting with the client, after which the clinician prepares a comprehensive report to be provided to the client’s attorney and eventually viewed by immigration officials.
